| As
you look around the pub, you may notice many pictures and
artefacts to do with winter sports. This is because all types
of winter sports are close to the hearts of all the Dimblebee
family. Richard's son, Chris, spent 3 years as a ski instructor
at Mayrhofen and long before many ski lifts were put up Richard
used to enjoy traversing the Alps.
Richard himself was given the rare
privilege in 1984 of being invited to train on a bobsleigh
team under the pupilage of the Swiss bobsleigh champion Erick
Scharer. During this time he met many other champions from
that year, at the St. Moritz bobsleigh Club. |
