Every old pub and Inn in England appears
to have some spooky apparition to talk about, and considering
the state some guests leave in, no doubt quite a few could
be easily explained! We do have a resident presence though,
and sometimes on those cold nights in front of the roaring
fire mention of the young girl in her nightie seen in the
oldest parts of the inn are revealed.
One very sober dinner guest about to
leave asked Richard and Bridget who the young girl was, who
had just walked past behind them. Both had instinctively moved
feeling somebody passing, but had not turned to look.
The problem was, there were no young
girls present in the pub that night, and the room into which
she had walked was empty. Many a cold chill ran down their
spines that night!
It was in this same part of the building
that a pet dog refused to venture, and when you consider it
was a huge Alsatian, there must have been something significant
about the room to spook it. In all the years though, she appears
to have been quite friendly though, as nothing untoward has
happened - yet. |
